In my continuing series of thoughts on this subject, I will try to paint an accurate picture:

How many?
The number of Muslims in the world right now, depending on who you ask, is roughly 1.2 Billion. For simplicity’s sake, let’s say it’s 1 Billion. And let’s say that out of that, only 0.1% of them are “Islamists” (IE Terrorists in deed or support) – that gives us 1 Million. While statistically infinitesimal to the total, it is in practicality a huge army that wears no uniform and swears allegiance to no government or law of man.

Good vs. Evil?
A “good” Muslim (one who doesn’t believe in violent jihad and accepts a Pluralistic world) is quick to point out that the 0.1% are perverting the teachings of Islam. While those who study the Quran have differing opinions on what Allah/Muhammad wants the modern Muslim to do, to deny those differing opinions is to be blind at best. For the sake of argument, let’s say that the 0.1% ARE perverting the Quran. The only fact that matters is that THEY DON’T THINK THEY ARE. The Bin Laden’s of the world don’t care at all how they are labeled by “moderate” Muslims and certainly not by non-Muslim infidels. The same “good” Muslim points out that, for example, “we don’t blame Christianity for the wars of the 20^th century even though they were fought by Christians”. Minor point: no Western group or nation, this past century, nor any back to the Crusades of the Middle Ages, has EVER gone to war in the name of Jesus Christ. Conversely, every Islamic terror attack is greeted by shouts of “Allahu Akbar”! To them, any nation not under Sharia Islamic law is part of the “Dar-el-harb”; the “house of War”, and must be attacked. This equivocation of “all religions do this” is at once laughable and insulting.

So what about the Crusades?
I am not here to defend the barbarous actions of many of the Crusaders when they followed the Pope’s decree in 1095 to liberate Jerusalem from Muslim oppression. But let’s not pretend that Christianity was an aggressor in ANY WAY during that time. Christians were under siege from Muslims for over 400 years. REPEAT…400 years before the Crusades were launched. The holiest Churches in Jerusalem were desecrated and burnt to the ground nearly 200 years before the Crusades. Aren’t the 0.1% all “over there”?
CAIR = Council on American-Islamic Relations. The name itself should give you pause. Why is being an American and a Muslim separate? What does one have to do with the other? What “relations” are needed if you are an American Muslim? Founder of CAIR, Omar Ahmad: “"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

CAIR was also named as an un-indicted co-conspirator just last month raising money for Hamas. It is a fact that Mosques in America are recruiting this 0.1%; it is a fact that cells of Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah were and are here in America carrying out and planning attacks. You be the judge…

That title is a quote from a US solider the other day who echoes the opinion of the vast majority of our men and women in uniform.

If simply staying alive was their primary concern, they would never have volunteered for the military in the first place. Signing up means sacrificing your life - you are told where and when to go to war, you leave your family and friends behind and know that you may never see them again. Hundreds of thousands are in the line of fire as we speak, and they are proud to do it. They would much rather deal with their own death in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. then to have their spouses and children blown up at home. That is the bottom line that keeps them going and should remind all of us of the Truth. Don't listen to politicians and their pontificating, listen to the 19 year olds who are volunteering (and re-enlisting) to die for you - this war is worth the sacrifice. Let us all not pray for their safe return, but for their/our victory.

Millions and millions are deeply disturbed and outraged by this. They recognize the need for a vehicle to express this outrage, yet they cannot find it; politics as usual cannot meet the enormity of the challenge, and people sense this.

There is not going to be some magical "pendulum swing." People who steal elections and believe they're on a "mission from God" will not go without a fight.

Here’s some more deception. The 2000 election was not stolen in any way. It is an urban legend/myth spread by the losers to “poison the well”. Explanation of the logical fallacy known as poisoning the well:

This sort of "reasoning" involves trying to discredit what a person might later claim by presenting unfavorable information (be it true or false) about the person. This "argument" has the following form: Unfavorable information (be it true or false) about person A is presented. Therefore any claims person A makes will be false.

This sort of "reasoning" is obviously fallacious. The person making such an attack is hoping that the unfavorable information will bias listeners against the person in question and hence that they will reject any claims he might make.

Also, this charge of being on a mission from God is utterly baseless and irresponsible. These people enjoy making stuff up.

There is not going to be some savior from the Democratic Party. This whole idea of putting our hopes and energies into "leaders" who tell us to seek common ground with fascists and religious fanatics is proving every day to be a disaster, and actually serves to demobilize people.

That’s funny, because the Leftist morons who wrote this ad are precisely the ones cozying up to fascists and religious fanatics! I pray that anyone who believes this schlock is “demobilized”…

Yeah you do that. Please list the High Crimes and Misdemeanors you want to charge President Bush with. Of course, they are conspicuously absent.

Acting in this way, we join with and give support and heart to people all over the globe who so urgently need and want this regime to be stopped.

PROPOSAL TO REGISTER AND ACCOUNT FOR ILLEGAL IMMIMAGRANTS LIVING IN THE USA

Theme: Follow the MONEY!!!

1. Government defines information required to be maintained in central data base. Establish a separate nine digit numbering code, separate from social security number for US citizens, but able to accumulate financial information exactly the same as payroll data required by federal , state and local agencies as of today.

2. Identify specific financial institutions in each county of each state to collect and process information defined in item 1 above. Include in the information to the bank a local police confirmation must be submitted and verified by the bank.

3. Follow the money. Each employer and employed immigrant must, by law, process ALL payrolls through the designated financial institution until a temporary work document is issued. Each employer must have a federal and state identification or social security number (NO CHANGE FROM WHAT IS REQUIRED TODAY). Temporary photo ID is to accompany a checking account identification card for each employee with a nine digit ID number as defined in item 1 above.

4. Unemployed illegal’s must register with the local unemployment office and receive a nine digit identification PHOTO card defined in item 1 above.

5. All issued social security cards previously issued be voided and the numbers retired for 10 years.

6. Spouses or children under eighteen years of age will be required to show proof of residence, marriage and or birth before obtaining a LIVING VISA on a temporary basis. A nine digit ID number must be issued with each LIVING VISA.

7. Any immigrants living in the USA that do not meet any of the above identified categories must leave the country within 30 days or face criminal prosecution. Any criminals must leave within 7 days.

8. All immigrant violators will be deported or jailed. All employer violators will be prosecuted.

Yea what a happy topic!

First off, my position:
It is immoral, sickening, unjust, selfish, etc. It is never justified unless the mother's life is in danger when it is tantamount to self-defense. It is not the baby's fault if he/she is the result of rape, incest or a one-night stand.

The Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The first unalienable Right is the Right to be alive.

The horrible, pathetic fact is that the vast majority of abortions (92-99.5%) are done as a means of birth control. So any defense of it on grounds of rape/incest/retardation is a red herring.

Common defenses:
"It's a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body."
Of course it is. But that's not the issue here. A baby is ANOTHER BODY with his/her own set of unalienable Rights. Which reminds me of something else that ticks me off: these "pro-choice" and "pro-life" labels have to go. The correct terms are pro-abortion and anti-abortion.

"It is not a person."
Calling your baby "it" is revealing of the underlying attitude. Dehumanization. If you convince yourself that a baby is not a person, it must be ok to kill it. Like stepping on a bug. Or shooting a dog...
Guess which other sickening acts were justified by dehumanization of the victim? The Holocaust and Slavery.
To the Nazis, the Jews were inferior, not the master race, not equals, subhuman. To the Slaveholder, the Black man was inferior, not a full citizen, not equals, subhuman. It is this EXACT mindset that allows evil in our world every single day. Take it to the modern day; what do Islamic Terrorists claim is the justification for the killing of innocents? They are inferior, not True Muslims, not equals, subhuman.

And I don't even want to get into the medical definitions of when a heartbeat begins, when a baby is "viable", etc. My son who has been out of the womb for 6 months now could not survive more than a day without being cared for. In fact, he is more needy NOW than he ever was in his mommy!

Huh??? Being born in America in 2007 is the single best situation, all things considered, of any IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. Even if a child is brought into a very bad family, that does NOT doom the child to a bad life! I have heard people say that they are so thankful their mother didn't abort them...it's crushingly sad to imagine a parent would even consider such a thing. I suppose I could add more to this later, but I've said enough for now. Hopefully this will shed the light of Reason on this issue for someone.

Today I got to see Rudy up close and personal in a restaurant in Wilmington. As I freely admit, I am completely biased, so with that in mind, my impressions:

1. There is absolutely nothing phony about this man. No make-up, no big entourage, no empty words. You may not agree with his ideas, but he means everything he says.
2. He is ready to be President TODAY. It is not "too big" for him. He does not have to "grow into it". He was born for it and is looking forward to leading his nation.

It was a great turnout for such a small place, I would say about 150 packed the joint. And no, it wasn't all older white people there, not by a longshot. Teenagers, pre-teens, even a couple of infants. Whites, blacks and asians all were represented. The loudest applause (and longest hug with Rudy afterward) came from a black Pentacostal Minister. I am proud to say I started the "Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!" chant when he entered the room. Being Flag Day, he began talking about why he wears his flag pin every day and will wear it every day for the rest of his life. He spoke for about 15 minutes and then took random questions from the audience which I thought was cool. I had one in mind but decided against it.  The last question came from a Mother with a son in Iraq worried about a "backdoor draft" (re-deploying soldiers after they are supposed to come home) and Rudy without hestiating for a second said, "Immediately increase the size of the Army by 10 Brigades". Then told the woman to sent his best to her son - "republican or democrat, liberal or conservative, those fighting for us command our respect". In general, It seemed like he was 100% ready for the general election, condident in his nomination and cognizant of the fact that traditionally Democrat states (Delaware, Penn, NJ) must vote for him and he is commited to making that happen. I just hope there is something I can do as an Independent to help his campaign. 

One day, I look forward to telling my son that I spent this morning with the President of the United States.

Here is my illegal alien allegory:

I drive to work in the morning, and I exit one highway to get on another (476N to 76W to be precise). The exit is always jammed, routinely backed up for half a mile before the ramp. I am a good boy, waiting in line, maybe not too patiently, but waiting nonetheless, sometimes for 20 minutes+. Without exception, there will be several cars (and trucks) that are not in the turning lane wizzing by and will cut in right before the ramp. Most will not even WAVE TO SAY THANK YOU. When I first started this commute, I figured these people are new to the area and didn't realize this is where the ramp is, brain farts, old people, etc. I have come to learn 99% of them are deliberate cuts in line. On top of it, they just don't give a crap about the people playing by the rules who now have a longer wait. Maybe they have a good "reason" like being late for work, etc. (but they all cease to be in such a hurry once they are on the ramp), but that DOES NOT F'ING MATTER. Many of us playing by the rules are also late but we have the respect for our fellow commuters not to cheat. But there was one glorious day...one day when right at the off-ramp, a PA police car sat facing oncoming traffic with the explicit intention of stopping the cutting in line. Guess what? NOBODY CUT IN. Even those who were planning on it got right back into line upon seeing the rules enforced (albeit still a cut, as they should have been at the very end of the line).

Moral of the story:
Me and others in line = legal immigrants waiting their turn playing by the rules because they respect America and our laws
Line cutters = illegal aliens who don't care a whit about what is fair or lawful, never having to pledge loyalty, only to make a quick buck
Police car =  fence from San Diego, CA to Brownsville, TX

And our representatives in Washington are confused as to why there is such an outcry from both the right and the left over this "immigration reform bill"??? WHY ISN'T THE FENCE BUILT ALREADY?!? FINISH IT NOW!!!
THEN and ONLY THEN can we talk about "reform".

Let's start with an easy one.

I will be voting for Rudy Giuliani for President next November. I can't vote in the Delaware Primary in Feb. being a registered Independent, but hopefully he will win the nomination of the Repubs. If by some chance he doesn't, and runs as a 3rd party/Independent, I am STILL voting for him. If he doesn't get the nomination and is not on the ballot at all, I am STILL voting for him as a write-in. This has been "my guy" since before he was mayor of NYC. 

Nothing, zero, will "come out" that will make me change my mind. Oh, rest assured, there will be "revelations" about him, especially if he wins the nomination. Be prepared for ludicrous charges regarding 9/11, about his previous marriages, etc. And the abortion issue will make many conservatives cringe. You know what I have learned? The President has nothing to do with abortion, only the Supreme Court does. The only thing a Pres can ever do is appoint Justices who are constructionists - a pledge Rudy has made. I hope and pray that Rudy is our next President, we need him both for ourselves and as a kick-a$$ CIC to show to our enemies. It would be pretty sweet to have him defeat that socialist psychopath Hillary on the way in, but who cares.

There are times when I just must get my thoughts out there. Maybe nobody will ever read this blog except me and that's fine. Hopefully, if any do read it, they will each take the time to comment on my postings. Even just a sentence would make my day!

Why did I choose this website to host my blog? I guess because I really enjoy Michael Medved's radio show??? I have been a "radio guy" my whole life really. As far as talk radio, I am attracted to intelligence and humor. Imus growing up (yes, he got railroaded, that will be blogged about soon I'm sure...) then to Glenn Beck and Dr. Laura a few years ago and now to Medved on my drive home (and Dennis Prager if I leave work early enough).

Anyhow, sometimes my comments will be vulgar and crass, but they will be honest at the time of their writing, and that's all I want out of this. And maybe I won't be the only one...
