Short for “Neo-Conservatives”. Meaning “New Conservatives”.

 

I have been called this several times, as an insult. Why is it a pejorative? It is meant to differentiate between the “Paleo-Conservatives” of America like Pat Buchanan today who basically preach the isolationism of the 1930s (early Barry Goldwater). Ron Paul also fancies himself one of these Paleo-Cons. I and many others think isolationism is stupid and backward and frankly dangerous in this age of “non state actors”. So if that’s the only definition of “Neo-Con”, that’s me. What I reject is the broad brush labeling all neo-cons as Trotsky-ites equating the intrinsic spread of democracy to a forced “permanent revolution”. Just because some of the first people to call themselves neo-cons were former Leftists (the real old-school Reds) doesn’t mean they still held to those ideals. Emphasis on the word FORMER. And what does that have to do with me anyway? I was a liberal, but never thought I was a commie, couldn’t have cared less about Marx, etc.

Personally, I hate being lumped into any group not called “Christian”, “American”, “Independent” or “Metalhead”. I waffle on being called a “Conservative”. If supporting aggressive use of the US Military against our enemies makes me a “Neo-Con”, so be it. But please don’t call me that because I dare to not support Ron Paul or dare to think that invading Iraq was the right thing to do (well before it was done). Please? And I see the name-calling (Neo-Con!) of Giuliani by the idiot Right and Left has already begun…I pity you people.

I just turned 32. I have always considered myself part of the “counter-counter-culture” if you will, and because of that I didn’t have many like-minded friends growing up. Sometimes is seems my generation (and the ones coming up now) are all sorts of bad, lazy and hopeless. Does everyone just swallow the lies taught to them in school and trumpeted in the media about their own nation? But there are still ones after my own heart, some of them are in popular music. I present to you part of the brand new Avenged Sevenfold song, “Critical Acclaim”:

Under the “things that annoy me” file:

Apocalypse does not mean “destruction”, “death”, “end” or anything like that. The word is Greek (“apokalypsis”; root “apokalypto”) meaning “to uncover, unveil, reveal”. Hence, the Biblical book sometimes called “The Apocalypse” is correctly translated “The Revelation”. It means “to reveal something hidden”, ok? And while I’m on the subject…

Contrary to what Hollywood tells you, there is no such event or day called “Armageddon”. It is a PLACE. The word is also Greek (“Har-Magedon”) meaning “hill-country of Megiddo”. Megiddo is a Hebrew word meaning “gathering place of the crowd”. It is used 12 times in the Old Testament each time denoting a place outside of Jerusalem. There IS a battle that takes place there, hence “the battle of Armageddon”, but Armageddon is no more an event than Gettysburg was. It’s a place people, a place!

Is right…as usual. In fact, I don’t know when she has been wrong, most people just don’t get her humor. The reality is that Coulter is a free-thinking, intelligent, liberated, opinionated, strong-willed Christian woman and most people hate that. I am proud to defend her.
 

This latest “over the line” flap is especially stupid because it shows the ignorance of most people regarding Christianity and Judaism. Not the least of who is the dunderheaded Donny Deutsch. Go find a transcript if you haven’t seen the exchange. He is literally dumbfounded by her utterly non-extreme claims about the 2 religions. Here is a piece:

To Christians, the “Hebrew Bible” is true, but only PART of the story. Hello? McFly? Isn’t this common knowledge?? How can any Christian be faulted for vocalizing what they believe at the most fundamental level? She was accused of “being like the President of Iran” for making such “hateful” statements – when he is the one who is agreeing with the Mullahs! No Christian Proselytizing! Of course, Coulter is just doing what all Christians should do, spread the Gospel. Heard of “The Great Commission”?

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Sounds to me like Ann Coulter is just echoing Paul when he said:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

 

What she said was not anything close to “hate speech”, it was the polar opposite.

When Rudy wins the Republican nomination sometime in the late winter, you will see many things said about him by his opponents. I will try and guess the main ones:  

1. Rudy = Bush (he is “scary”; he is a “fascist”; he is a “warmonger”)
2. Rudy is worse than Bush (!)
3. Rudy is “weird” (makes jokes, talks to his wife on the phone, married 3 times, married 2nd cousin)
4. Rudy has no experience, using 9/11 for everything
5. Like any marginally Conservative candidate, Rudy is “racist, sexist, homophobic, intolerant, doesn’t care about kids, the elderly or the poor, etc.”
6. I’m sure there will be various anti-Catholic and anti-Italian slurs as well

I just have to weigh in on this stupid “controversy”. Just to warn you, I may offend some of my friends who read this. Remember, the Truth sets you free.

I really don’t care about Rush Limbaugh. I have listened to his show – mostly a few years ago while on my lunch sitting in my car – but found it mostly boring. Being a radio man though, I cannot deny he is a real pioneer. He has been wrong before and will be again, but not this time. Fellow talk-radioer (and Mantei favorite) Glenn Beck put it pretty well:

"Jack Murtha is a murderer...of his competition in waffle eating contests."

It's just a little different when you read things with the full perspective, isn't it? If you were a visitor to the liberal hack blog Media Matters, you would see that type of misleading and untrue reporting is standard practice for the shameless site. The "controversy" surrounding Rush Limbaugh this week was just another day at the office for Media Matters "for America", as they took his words so far out of context to create a "story" that would make even Dan Rather blush.

If you believe that headline, you have been DUPED. You are being LIED TO. I understand the predilection to assume guilt about people you dislike. I bet most people reading this assumed Limbaugh actually said and believes that statement. Take the time to actually do some fact-checking and you will discover that anyone who agrees with that headline is a gullible FOOL. Yes, even including pathetic United States Congressmen who desperately want to appear to be “defending the troops”. Limbaugh never said that or anything like that. IT NEVER HAPPENED.

Is that stopping the MSM (“mainstream media”) from ignoring the facts and assuming the “service members who support U.S. withdrawal are "phony soldiers”” is accurate? Noooooooo. Do they even pretend to be “journalists” and point out the fact that Limbaugh claims he never said that (and in fact, he didn’t)? Nope. Of course they can never acknowledge what he really meant – the FACT that there are many people LYING about their military service and how the MSM are their enablers. The “Phony Soldiers” are just that. NOT soldiers who disagree with the Bush Adminstration’s policies as has been portrayed. Don’t be DUPED by character assassinating LIARS. This is the same crap they pulled on Don Imus. Although, it is not really analogous because Imus actually did make racial jokes. All of this underscores why I will never again be on the Left. Hate and venom are at the core of that world. Are you too a gullible fool???

Have you seen the Satanic Pledge of Allegiance?

Look at their “pledge” closely. It doesn’t even make linguistic sense. How do you pledge allegiance to rights? I guess they don’t like the Declaration of Independence though, since that says that our rights come from our Creator…and what happened to “indivisible”? It’s almost like they want America to be divided…hmmmm…and nice ode to abortion (“choice”) also. I hope people like this remain a tiny minority.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

This has not yet happened in all of history. I have asked myself for years now, “why will this happen and who will make Damascus a ‘ruinous heap’”?

 

2 weeks ago, Israeli jets performed a lightening fast surgical strike inside Syria – and nobody on the government level (US, Israeli, Syrian, etc) wants to talk about it. That tells me that it’s a really volatile situation.

Maybe it will be the Israelis who do it, maybe it will not be them, but rest assured, Damascus will become a “ruinous heap”. The mention of the “fortress of Ephraim ceasing” and the “glory of Jacob being made thin” should give America (and Europe) great pause. But more on that another time…

 

Jeremiah weighs in as well (chapter 49):

Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy! Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts. And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

 

But will this destruction of Damascus be the beginning of a “countdown”, AKA a “birth pang” to be followed quickly by other prophetic events?

 

Book of Amos (chapters 1 and 2), punishment of, in order:

1. Damascus

2. Gaza

3. Tyre (Lebanon)

4. Edom (Russia)

5. Ammon (Jordan/West Bank)

6. Moab (Jordan/Saudi Arabia/Iraq?)

7. Judah (the country called Israel in the Middle East)

8. Israel (10 scattered tribes of Jacob – their nations of the West, led by Ephraim and Manasseh)

 

Do you recall prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq how much time was wasted in the UN and how much advanced warning was given to Saddam Hussein to move his WMDs? There is more than a little evidence that much of it went to Syria with the help of Russian convoys. And anything that Syria has, Iran has.

 

“Proof of cooperation between Iran and Syria in the proliferation and development of weapons of mass destruction was brought to light Monday in a Jane's Magazine report that dozens of Iranian engineers and 15 Syrian officers were killed in a July 23 accident in Syria. According to the report, the joint Syrian-Iranian team was attempting to mount a chemical warhead on a scud missile when the explosion occurred, spreading lethal chemical agents, including sarin nerve gas and VX gas. The factory was created specifically for the purposes of altering ballistic missiles to carry chemical payloads, the magazine report claimed.”

So where is Iran in all of this, Biblically speaking? Known for thousands of years as Persia, look no further than the book of Daniel.

 

Prophecy of the Ram and the Goat (chapter 8):

Where? “I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.”

This is in southwest Iran, near the present day Iraqi border and Kuwait.

When? “Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision… I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.”

In other words, this prophecy is for the “time of the end”. As with many prophecies, things have historical “types”, but this is not the fulfillment. This chapter is said to foretell the Greco-Persian wars a few years later, but that is just not the case. There are “types” to yet future events; events that Jesus would tell us are still future 500 years after Daniel was written. Bottom line, look to the Iran/Iraq/Kuwait border area. There was lots of action there before, called Desert Storm, but that storm was stopped…it was not yet time.

 

“Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.”

 

Iran will push and push and push…we may be in this period right now. Studying the 2 horns of the Ram is also interesting. Sunni and Shia Islam, perhaps? Horns are representative of power.

 

“And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.”

 

So who is the “he-goat”? He comes from the west, on the face of the whole earth, and “touched not the ground”. Some say it is the entire United Nations “fed up” with the Ram. The Goat “comes close” at first, then the attack comes – from the Iraqi border. But it is led by something more, something supernatural…

 

“Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.”

These “4 notable ones” are described in greater detail in chapter 7.

 

“And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.”

Uh oh…this is trouble. The “Little Horn”, known to most as the Antichrist or False Messiah. His reach is worldwide. See Revelation 12 to see the stars cast to the ground. He claims to be Christ/God Himself.

 

In chapter 10, Daniel is given more insight into this Persia/Greece, Ram/Goat battle. So much so, his body can hardly handle it.

Where? “I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel”

Today known as the Tigris River, near the Iran/Iraq border.

When? “Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.”

Again limiting the time frame – still unfulfilled prophecy.

 

“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks...Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.”

Sounds a lot like the description of the Glorified Jesus that John wrote in Revelation 1…Daniel saw and recognized the angel Gabriel in chapters 8 and 9, he doesn’t seem to recognize this One…but that’s really here nor there, point is, this is one powerful supernatural dude…

 

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”

Hold the phone! This is a powerful supernatural dude, maybe even the Son of God Himself, and he: A. fights alongside the archangel Michael and B. this “prince of Persia” withstood him for 3 weeks…food for thought…

 

“Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? And now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.”

Doesn’t this shed more light on the Ram/Goat prophecy? The “prince of Grecia”; the “first king/horn on the Goat” is a supernatural dude also. In fact, I believe the prince of Persia and the prince of Grecia are the same guy. They are 2 of the many titles he has.

And again with Michael – he is mentioned also in chapter 12:

 

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time”

 

Now look in the book of Revelation, chapter 12:

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him…Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

 

My personal opinion is that the Ram (Persia/Iran) is really ticking him off and he will actually assist in their defeat. That hubris will spill over into heaven and he gets himself evicted. The Ram/Goat prophecy ends with that same guy, now called the “Little Horn”, Satan himself, arriving to earth de facto…

On 8/21/07, Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised to place Iran's nuclear technology "at the service of those who are determined to confront the bullying powers and aggressors".

 

In other words, Iran will give nuclear weapons to Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, etc. to use against the Western countries, headed by the United States. With help from Pakistan and North Korea, there is no doubt in my mind this will come to pass.

 

This is just the latest in a long long line of saber-rattling words – and deeds – from the Iranian regime. Those of you who know my opinion on this subject understand this is nothing new – I have been calling for war with Iran for years now. Frankly, the Mullahs and their preaching of martyrdom for the sake of Islam should have been forcibly removed over 20 years ago, but they have been allowed to metastasize and we are witnessing the result.

History overview:

 

1978-79: A Shiite cleric named Ayatollah Khomeini foments and presides over the “Islamic Revolution” – Iran is turned into an Islamic state under Islamic Law; a model they wished to spread to every nation on earth, “a perfect model of splendid, humane, and divine life… for all the peoples of the world”. Also established in this year were the “Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps” (the official “military” of the new Iran) and “Hezbollah” (the “Party of Allah” charged with spreading Islamic Revolution throughout the world though Jihad). He named a council of Mullahs to rule with him, and that system remains to this day.

 

October 1979: Khomeini denounced the American government as the "Great Satan" and "Enemy of Islam." (note: Israel is referred to as the “Little Satan” or “standard bearer of Satan” – the larger enemy was and is America)

 

November 1979: 500 Iranian “students” (among them, one Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) stormed the American Embassy in the capital and took over 80 Americans hostage. Khomeini did not comment on the situation for days, fearing a violent US response, none came. He and his Mullahs were emboldened.

 

April 1980: One rescue attempt (Operation Eagle Claw) was tried, but it failed tragically in the desert. The Mullahs took this as Divine Intervention; that they truly were fighting The Great Satan and Allah would help them in their Jihad.

 

January 1981: The majority of the hostages were held in sometimes torturous conditions for 444 days. They were finally released in a quid pro quo agreement which unfroze  billions of dollars in Iranian assets on the day of Ronald Regan’s inauguration. The Iranians viewed this as a major victory as that money would help to fight the American-backed Iraqis who had invaded 4 months prior.

 

(1982-1992: Several Americans were kidnapped, some of them killed, by Hezbollah in Lebanon. These included CIA chiefs, college professors and Christian ministers. Some were released due to the American “response” – the Regan Administration’s secret sale of weapons to the Iranians in exchange for the release of hostages, AKA The Iran/Contra affair. The Mullahs were quite understandably emboldened.)

 

April 1983: A Hezbollah suicide bomber in a pickup truck loaded with explosives rammed into the US Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. Sixty-three people were killed, including 17 Americans. This act of war also went unpunished. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

October 1983: A Hezbollah suicide bomber detonated a truck full of explosives at a US Marine barracks located at Beirut International Airport; 241 U.S. Marines were killed and more than 100 others wounded. This act of war also went unpunished. The USS New Jersey was ordered to the Lebanese coast, but did nothing; US Marines (who where there at the behest of Lebanon to qwell their civil war, fomented by Iran) ordered to pull out of Lebanon 4 months later. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

December 1983: The American embassy in Kuwait was bombed by Iranian suicide bomber in a series of attacks whose targets also included the French embassy, the control tower at the airport, the country's main oil refinery, and a residential area for employees of the American corporation Raytheon. Six people were killed and more than 80 others were injured. The Cell responsible was quite literally a brother of Hezbollah. This act of war also went unpunished. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

September 1984: Northeast of Beirut, a Hezbollah truck bomb exploded outside the U.S. Embassy annex killing 24 people, two of whom were U.S. military personnel. This act of war also went unpunished. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

December 1984: Kuwait Airways Flight 221 was hijacked by Hezbollah and diverted to Tehran. The hijackers demanded the release of the Cell responsible for the Kuwait attack the year before. When the demand wasn't met, the hijackers killed two Americans. On the sixth day of the drama, Iranian security forces stormed the plane and released the remaining hostages. Iran arrested the hijackers, saying they would be brought to trail. But the trial never took place, and the hijackers were allowed to leave the country. There was no US response. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

June 1985: TWA Flight 847 was hijacked by Hezbollah and forced to land in Beirut, Lebanon, where the hijackers held the plane for 17 days. They demanded the release of the Cell responsible for the Kuwait attack 18 months prior as well as the release of 700 fellow Shiite Muslim prisoners held in Israeli prisons. When these demands weren't met, hostage Robert Dean Stethem, a U.S. Navy diver, was shot and his body dumped on the airport tarmac. Imad Mughniyah, senior officer with Hezbollah, was secretly indicted for the hijacking in 1987. There was no US response. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

December 1988: Pan Am Flight 103 from London to New York exploded over the small town of Lockerbie, Scotland. All 259 people on board were killed, along with 11 on the ground. No group took responsibility for the bombing, even though the government of Libya was held responsible in court. It is now believed that Iran played a “significant role” in the attack.

 

April 1993: 1^st World Trade Center bombing by the fledgling Al Qaeda. More than $100,000 was given to the Cell to carry out the attack – most of it from Iran.

 

June 1996: In a joint attack, Iran and Al Qaeda (under the name “Saudi Hezbollah”) destroyed Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia with a massive truck bomb – a building that housed the US Air Force – 19 US Airmen killed, 372 total wounded. This act of war also went unpunished. The Mullahs were emboldened.

 

May 2003: Al Qaeda attack in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia kills 34, including 8 Americans. The Washington Post reported in October that Osama bin Laden’s son Saad and up to 25 other senior members are running Al Qaeda operations from Iran under the protection of the Revolutionary Guard. This attack was said to have been planned and ordered from Iran.

 

2003-today: Iranian Revolutionary Guard is covertly and overtly involved in killing Americans in Iraq. Even though they deny involvement, listen to the words of Ahmadinejad: “The aggressors have become entangled in Iraq. They attribute no importance to Iraqi lives... I hereby announce loud and clear that the occupier's political forces are facing defeat in Iraq... [and that] we will soon see a serious leadership vacuum in the region. I hereby announce that Iran is willing to fill this vacuum, with the help of its neighbors and friends in the region, including Saudi Arabia. With the help of the Iraqi people, we will fill this vacuum. This is already happening; we must open our eyes to see it.”

 

 

I should also mention that Syria is Iran’s puppet. They do nothing without Iran’s permission, they rely on Iranian money and military support, they host the headquarters for nearly every Islamic Terror group in Damascus at Iran’s behest, etc. Syria is Iran’s “buffer” against Israel. If Iran ever makes good on their threats to annihilate the state of Israel, Syria will be the prime mover. Syria is the “cover story” for Iran’s deeds in the Middle East. If Israel ever decides to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, for instance, it will be Syria that counterattacks first.

Thanks to Norman Podhoretz, I finally understand. I always knew the underlying desire for self-hating and Isolationist Americans to see their country lose in Vietnam and now in Iraq (to a lesser extent in Afghanistan) – hence the terms “quagmire”, “un-winnable”, etc. I never quite understood, however, the refusal to include Iraq as one of several fronts in the larger War on Terror/Terrorist’s War on Us/World War 4. Podhoretz points out this is the same denial that wouldn’t allow the Vietnam conflict to be placed within the larger War against expansionist Communism/the Soviet Union/the Cold War/World War 3.

 

Everyone has seen the bumper stickers “End the war”, etc. In my mind I always say, “wait a minute…which war? Since you don’t include Iraq as part of a larger conflict, are you talking about Iraq or about any American military force at all?”

 

His new book, “World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism”, really nails it. He rightly lists the acts of war Islamic terrorists have committed against the United States for over 30 years now. Failing to respond to them was the fault of every Administration back to Nixon – both sides were negligent. 

 

Over 100,000 Americans died fighting in Korea and Vietnam – in response to Communist aggression. Those brave souls broke the back of the Soviet and Chinese war machines. Yet they (the Vietnam Veterans in particular) were disgraced by many at home, spat upon and called baby killers and murderers of civilians. Sound familiar? Not to downplay their sacrifices AT ALL, but 3,000 have been lost in Iraq during the past 4.5 years. That is a tremendously low number considering the constant attack they are under. Yet the calls of “How many more must die?” still pour out of the mouths of idiots, just like the Vietnam era. We were not allowed to win then, we MUST win now, there is no choice.

 

Those who believe Iraq is “Bush’s War” – other than being intellectually insulting – are just ignorant of history. As John McCain wisely says, “Presidents don’t lose wars, political parties don't lose wars, NATIONS lose wars and NATIONS have the consequences of failure. We must succeed in this conflict."

 

Truman Doctrine 1947 – “It must be the policy of the United States to support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressure...The free peoples of the world look to us for support in maintaining their freedoms. If we falter in our leadership, we may endanger the peace of the world -- and we shall surely endanger the welfare of our own nation.”

 

Kennedy Doctrine 1961 – “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

 

Bush Doctrine 2001 – “If we wait for threats to fully materialize, we will have waited too long…the war on terror will not be won on the defensive. We must take the battle to the enemy, disrupt his plans, and confront the worst threats before they emerge. In the world we have entered, the only path to safety is the path of action. And this nation will act.”

 

Other than pre-emption, America’s foreign policy has been unchanged since the 1940s. Isolationism is DEAD. And rightly so. Ron Paul and his ilk and supporters are quite simply deaf, dumb and blind. Iraq is a theater in a larger war just as Vietnam was. We have committed ourselves, and it is a Just cause. Unlike Vietnam, we cannot afford to retreat. As we have seen time and again, retreat and non-action only embolden those who would slaughter our innocents.

 

Let us all heed the words of President Kennedy from 1962 and Winston Churchill from 1941:

“The 1930's taught us a clear lesson: aggressive conduct, if allowed to go unchecked and unchallenged, ultimately leads to war. This nation is opposed to war. We are also true to our word.”

“Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Today, remembering the most heinous attack in American history, we must pause and take a sober look around.

They are not done, folks. Not even close. Islamists cannot be deterred, negotiated with or isolated. They have no qualms with blowing up buses full of innocent school children or letting biological warfare agents into a crowded stadium of innocents. God forbid any type of nuclear device. The more innocent the victims, the better the terror. All non-Muslims (and even some who are) are the Enemy. Convert or kill – that is their only modus-operandi. We have stopped many operations since 9/11/01, both here and abroad, but we won’t be able to stop all of them. To wit: in the past 6 years, there have been well over 5,000 Islamic terrorist attacks with thousands of innocent dead. Radical Islam is a PANDEMIC. Like it or not, it is up to the West, specifically America and Great Britain, to fight it. It is our destiny, and we had better embrace that fact.

 

I was actually looking forward to the Democrat Congress coming through on their promise to fully implement the 9/11 Commission Recommendations since the Republicans failed to do so. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to care either. We need to elect leaders who UNAPOLOGETICALLY FIGHT for this greatest nation that there has ever been. We are not the cause, we are not the instigators, and we are not the occupiers. This war against us may last for a generation or longer, it doesn’t matter. But do we have the stomach? Even in the past 6 years, the insanity of denial from the Michael Moore’s of the world (“there is no terrorist threat”), the stupidity of moral equivocation and the insidiousness of history rewriting have done great damage to our National Will. Political Correctness is literally killing us and will continue to do so. Don’t fall for the lies, keep your eyes and ears open, use your common sense…and pray.

In this day and age, the fine "art" of the non-apology is everywhere. Even that lying felon Mike Vick has just issed one, thinking it is an actual apology. Example: "I apologize to everyone who was offended." That's not admitting you were wrong, only that you are sorry people's feelings were hurt! That's like punching someone in the face and then apologizing for the pain they are feeling. Not apologizing for the punch, but only for the pain it caused. Saying "I apologize to everyone who was offended/hurt" IS NOT ADMITTING GUILT! In fact, it's a big middle finger in the face of your accuser. That reply is perfectly acceptable if (and only if) you are NOT apologizing for what you have done/said. Every time I hear this, it pisses me off to no end, hence my post...

Last night I and my esteemed father-in-law attended the first Giuliani in Delaware "grass roots" meeting. About 30 people gathered in the 95 degree heat in a room with no AC! That shows you the level of commitment I have for this guy. J

 

There is now less than 6 months left until “Super Duper Tuesday” when the nominees for both parties will likely be decided. The Primaries are the best part about our election system, in my humble opinion. There is a real “rubber meets the road” atmosphere where people actually say what they believe and the normal everyday Joe gets to decide who will run for President. I will do everything I can to ensure Rudy is the Republican nominee – but one thing I cannot do is change my registration. If he were a Democrat, I would support him for the Democratic nomination, or as a 3^rd party nominee, etc. But I will never change my registration as long as I live. That is sacred to me. Unfortunately, Independents are not permitted to vote in Delaware’s Primaries. Anyway, I am confident that Rudy will win the nomination even without my vote – but he will have my help in other ways. It’s just really cool to be involved from the beginning. I foresee a Rudy vs. Hillary general election and man, it will be ON. From my perspective, you couldn’t ask for a more “good guy vs. bad guy” match-up.

 

This may sound very gay, but I feel Giuliani and I are kindred spirits. That’s why I’m supporting him so loudly and so early. Not to have a Republican President, but to have Rudy as President. Ok, I’ll shut up now.
