In my continuing series of thoughts on this subject, I will try to paint an accurate picture:
How many?
The number of Muslims in the world right now, depending on who you ask, is roughly 1.2 Billion. For simplicity’s sake, let’s say it’s 1 Billion. And let’s say that out of that, only 0.1% of them are “Islamists” (IE Terrorists in deed or support) – that gives us 1 Million. While statistically infinitesimal to the total, it is in practicality a huge army that wears no uniform and swears allegiance to no government or law of man.
Good vs. Evil?
A “good” Muslim (one who doesn’t believe in violent jihad and accepts a Pluralistic world) is quick to point out that the 0.1% are perverting the teachings of Islam. While those who study the Quran have differing opinions on what Allah/Muhammad wants the modern Muslim to do, to deny those differing opinions is to be blind at best. For the sake of argument, let’s say that the 0.1% ARE perverting the Quran. The only fact that matters is that THEY DON’T THINK THEY ARE. The Bin Laden’s of the world don’t care at all how they are labeled by “moderate” Muslims and certainly not by non-Muslim infidels. The same “good” Muslim points out that, for example, “we don’t blame Christianity for the wars of the 20th century even though they were fought by Christians”. Minor point: no Western group or nation, this past century, nor any back to the Crusades of the Middle Ages, has EVER gone to war in the name of Jesus Christ. Conversely, every Islamic terror attack is greeted by shouts of “Allahu Akbar”! To them, any nation not under Sharia Islamic law is part of the “Dar-el-harb”; the “house of War”, and must be attacked. This equivocation of “all religions do this” is at once laughable and insulting.
So what about the Crusades?
I am not here to defend the barbarous actions of many of the Crusaders when they followed the Pope’s decree in 1095 to liberate Jerusalem from Muslim oppression. But let’s not pretend that Christianity was an aggressor in ANY WAY during that time. Christians were under siege from Muslims for over 400 years. REPEAT…400 years before the Crusades were launched. The holiest Churches in Jerusalem were desecrated and burnt to the ground nearly 200 years before the Crusades. Aren’t the 0.1% all “over there”?
CAIR = Council on American-Islamic Relations. The name itself should give you pause. Why is being an American and a Muslim separate? What does one have to do with the other? What “relations” are needed if you are an American Muslim? Founder of CAIR, Omar Ahmad: “"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
CAIR was also named as an un-indicted co-conspirator just last month raising money for Hamas. It is a fact that Mosques in America are recruiting this 0.1%; it is a fact that cells of Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah were and are here in America carrying out and planning attacks. You be the judge…
